Asking questions in an interview is tough. You want to learn about real work hours, company culture, and the general stress that comes with the job, but you don't want to sound lazy. Matt Mickiewicz, the cofounder of Hired, suggests a sneaky way to get that information out of your interviewer: just ask what a typical day, week, or weekend in the life of an employee there looks like.

By walking you through the normal schedule of current employees they can give you an idea of what it's really like to work there. Maybe they usually stay late to finish projects, or maybe it's common for employees to take work home with them over the weekend. There's no such thing as truly "perfect" work-life balance, but unless they lie to your face, you'll at least have more information to help make the right decision for you.
