Easy Home Remedies To Treat Dark Circles

The eyes are the mirror of our soul and one of the most attractive features in a woman but dark circles under the eyes hinder facial beauty, especially among women. Dark shadows below eyes not only look unattractive but also make us look older than our age. Dark circles appear mostly due to lack of sleep, stress, hormonal misbalance, and a hectic lifestyle.

It gives you a dull appearance and should be treated well. There are many chemical based products available in the market, however, it advisable to go for home remedies for example making use of buttermilk paste, cold milk or chilled tea bags. Here, we share some Do It Yourself (DIY) tips about how you can get rid of dark circles and shadows beneath your eyes.

*Use chilled tea bags: Get two used tea bags, black or green and chill them in the refrigerator for half an hour. Place one tea bag over each eye, leaving it for 10 to 15 minutes and wash your face. Repeat it at least twice a day for a few weeks.

*Apply buttermilk paste: Take two tablespoon of buttermilk and one-fourth table spoon of turmeric powder and mix them well. Apply this paste on your dark circles and leave it for at least 15 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water. Repeat it for a few weeks.

*Tomatoes: Use a mixture of one teaspoon of tomato juice with one teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply it beneath your eyes and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water. Repeat this at least twice a day for a few weeks.

*Mint paste: Take some mint leaves and grind them well. Mix this paste with lemon juice and apply it below your eyes. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash it with lukewarm water and repeat the process twice a day for some days.

You can also find solution for stress and depression, one of the main reasons for appearance of dark circles under eyes, in meditation. One can reduce dark eyes with the help of Yoga as it helps in regulation of our body clock by calming our body and mind.
