Create a Personalised Book with Your Favourite Wikipedia Articles in 3 Steps

Over the last decade or so, Wikipedia has become the default go-to reference website. Whether you want to read about String Theory or to know the age of the Melania Trump, Wikipedia is where we go. However, most of us, especially students, are unaware of the vast potential of this simple looking website.

One of its lesser known features is the ability to create a personalized book based on the articles the reader choose. Here is how to do it in three steps:

Open Wikipedia Book Creator

Wikipedia Book Creator is the page you have to go to create your book. To get there, click on 'Create a book' link on the Wikipedia sidebar.

Adding Articles

After you chose 'Start Book Creator,' go to any Wikipedia article you want. You will see an Add button at the top of the article, clicking on it will add the particular article to the book you are making. If you want any help with the pages you want to add, there is ' Suggested pages' link that will show you pages Wikipedia think will be helpful for your book.

Additionally, hovering the cursor over any link will show you an option to add article linked as well.

Creating the Book

After adding all the articles, you want, click on the Show Book link on the top which will take you to a page where you can manage your book. Here you can perform reordering of the articles you added, give a title to your book, adjust paper size and other tweaks.

From here you can order a printed book or can download a PDF e-book.
