Redmi Note 4 to be launched on Jan 19. Here is Everything You Need to Know

Xiaomi is going to launch the successor to one of their most successful phones in India, Redmi Note 4. The device will be unveiled on January 19, as the company has sent out press invites. The Redmi Note 3 became the highest shipped smartphone in India's online market in Quarter 2 of 2016 with over 2.3 million units sold by September 2016. Although Xiaomi has already launched Redmi Note 4 in China back in August with a deca-core processor, it is expected that the Indian variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 SOC. Here is everything about the much expected Redmi Note 4

Internals
Unlike the Chinese variant, Xiaomi preferred Snapdragon for their Indian models. Same can be expected with the more power efficient Snapdragon 625 under the hood. In the case of RAM and storage, like China, rumors suggest that there will be two variants- one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage while the other one will possess a slight spec bump of 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage.

Pricing
The phone is being sold in China for 899 Chinese Yuan for the lower variant and 1,199 Yuan for the higher one, which is equivalent to Rs. 9,000 and Rs. 12,000 respectively. We can expect a similar pricing for the devices in India as well.

Camera
The Chinese version of the Redmi Note 4 comes with a 13-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel front camera, with phase detection and dual-tone LED flash. However, Xiaomi there may go for a slight upgrade on the cameras.

The device is expected to launch with MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and there has been no word regarding getting an update to Android Nougat so far.
