Below this line is a white ruled ledger for the entering the expenses themselves.
Tapping the blue "+" button lets you add a new expense, and pulls up a list of 18 categories to choose from, including many of the basics you'd want: "food," "transport," "shopping," etc. Enter the amount of the expense at the top using the numeric keypad, tap the appropriate category, and then press "Save" in the upper right hand corner-or the green check button in the keypad below-to record an expense.
The expense now appears as an item on the ledger, and you'll note that the dotted line above also changes to visually indicate your relative spending.
You can tap the plus button again to add more expenses on any given day. To edit an expense, tap it. To delete, swipe left.
Pro Tip: when recording an expense, you can also use the numeric keypad as a calculator to combine several expenses in the same category at once (using the arithmetic buttons on the left side).
You can also add new categories, or change the old ones to better fit your needs. From the main screen with the ledger on it, tap the gear in the upper-left hand corner to access the Settings menu, tap "Customize Categories," then "Add," and you'll get a grid of icons to choose from, and a keyboard to enter your new category's name.
You can edit any of the 18 pre-existing categories by tapping it and assigning a new icon or name. If you decide you don't want a category, you can swipe left and tap "delete."
There you have it! A simple and reliable way for manually tracking your expenses-now it's just up to you to remember to do it.
