How to Book 'Secret' Flights with Your Chase Ultimate Rewards Points

Many people like the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve credit cards for earning travel rewards, myself included. You can use the points you accumulate to purchase plane tickets through a ton of different airlines, but some of them won't show up on their site. In those situations, here's what you do.

The Chase Travel Portal will show you flights with almost any airline, except for these four:

  • Allegiant Air
  • Gol
  • Norwegian Air
  • Southwest

But as the Million Mile Secrets blog explains , you can still use your points to book flights through those airlines even though you won't see them listed on the Chase site. You just have to do a little extra work:

  1. Go to Google Flights and find the flight you want, unless you want to fly Southwest. In that case, you'll need to check the Southwest site .
  2. When you find the flight you want, note down the airline, date, flight number, departure city and time, and arrival city and time.
  3. Call the Chase Travel Center at 866-951-6592 and give them the information. They'll deduct the points automatically from your account.

And the best part is you'll earn miles and credit toward elite status as if you'd purchased a ticket with cash. If you're still having trouble finding the flight you want, you can call the Chase Travel Center and ask them to search for you. This will probably take longer than searching yourself, but it's a viable option. If you want to see how your Chase card's points are worth toward these unlisted flights, you can learn more at the link below.
