The Most and Least Expensive Cities to Find Short-Term Vacation Rentals
Renting a home for a vacation is a great way to feel at home while you're away. This data shows the places where vacation rentals are cheapest, and where they're most expensive.
The data comes from personal finance site Priceonomics, who analyzed web tracking client Datafiniti's database of rental listings. The result is several charts detailing which parts of the country have the cheapest vacation rentals, and which ones are the most expensive.
Unsurprisingly, New York ranks among the most expensive, though California is towards the middle. At the city level, Orlando ranks among the cheapest, which makes it an even more convenient tourist destination. Other cities like Detroit, Detroit, Philadelphia, and Milwaukee round out the list.
