On November 3rd Indians finally got hands on the latest iPhone X. Of course, that comes with a hefty price tag of Rs. 89,000. Now, if you are an Apple fanboy, or someone looking to buy a greatest and latest of the gadgets, then you probably have set your mind on getting the iPhone X. But for the others who want to make a wise informed decision before parting with such a big chunk of money, then here are the 5 reasons why you shouldn't buy the iPhone X.

The iPhone X is an essentially a bezel-less iPhone 8 Plus with Face ID. It doesn't bring any additional value to the user like Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with S-Pen. In last year or so the difference between the features and performance offered by a high-end flagship and a mid-level phone has come down significantly. On the other hand, even at the high-end section, there are affordable options such as the iPhone 8 Plus, Samsung's Galaxy S8, Google's Pixel 2XL and the upcoming bezel-less One Plus 5T.

So, you have a very fragile and expensive gadget. Let's assume the worst happened- you dropped it and broke the glass. Do you know how much it will cost to fix it? According to Apple, a screen repair costs $279, or Rs.18,000, while any other damages will cost $549 or Rs. 35,000- the price of an iPhone 7.

Here is the thing, open a popular app such as Google Docs or Maps and it will open on the iPhone X with 'fake black bezels.' This is because many of the apps aren't optimized yet for the iPhone X's display especially the notch. So it will be a better idea to wait around till Apple trickle down the iPhone X features to the lesser expensive device.

Yes, you probably know that. The basic 64 GB iPhone X comes at Rs. 89,000. If you want a bigger storage then you have to spend all the way up to Rs. 1,02,000 to get the 256 GB. What about the 128 GB, you may ask. Well, there is no 128 GB and this is how Apple gets you.

During the iPhone X keynote, Apple did make some serious claims such as it has the strongest glass on any phone. Yet, numerous YouTubers have demonstrated how easy it is to break its back and front glass. Getting a case will be the best solution, but then again what is the point of putting an iPhone X with bezel-less display in a case.
