Knew Tab Fills Your Chrome New Tab Page with Useful Information

We've looked at a ton of Chrome new tab page extensions, but if none of the scratch just the right itch, Knew Tab is another great one to try.

The extension turns your new tab page into an attractive, minimal list of essential information. You'll get the current date and time, Facebook notifications, unread messages in Gmail, a word of the day, a news ticker, and current weather. You can also add stock quotes, if you want them. There's not a whole lot going on here that you wouldn't expect, but if you like the look and you don't need a ton of customization options, this is a great extension to check out.
