Stop Friends from Scrolling Through Your Camera Roll with This Android App
Android: You pull up
and hand your phone to a friend so they can see it. Before you know it, they're scrolling through your entire camera roll and looking at whatever screenshots, nudes, or other embarrassing images you have stored on there. We've all been in this situation (and we're probably all guilty of swiping through a friend's photos, too). Now there's a solution, at least if you're on
Secure Photo Viewer , a free Android app that's available now, makes it easy to lock your phone to a specific photo or group of photos so you can safely hand it over to a friend, knowing they'll only see what you want them to.
How to Use Secure Photo Viewer
Before getting started, you'll want to make sure you've got some sort of secure login set up on your device. That could be a fingerprint scanner, a passcode or a lock screen pattern. Then download the app
from Google Play
Once that's set up, the next time you want to show someone a picture or multiple pictures on your phone, open the photos app and select those images. Then hit the share button and tap on 'Secure Photo Viewer' from the list of options. Finally, hit the physical lock button on your phone. The images you picked will show up, but your friend won't be able to look at anything else until you unlock the device.
That's it. Now you can hand your smartphone to a friend without worrying about what else they might see. But maybe be prepared to explain to them
you felt the need to add this extra level of security, since they'll probably assume that you don't trust them, have a ton of X-rated content on your phone, or both.
