Watch YouTube Videos From Any Country Using This Chrome Extension

Getting a link to a music video on YouTube from a friend, only to find yourself unable to view it, is a real bummer. You can get around YouTube's location-based restrictions with a dead-simple extension that, frankly, everyone should install. It's called F*ck YouTube (because of course it is).

The free extension, according to The Next Web , makes watching region-locked content on the video hosting service as simple as copying and pasting a YouTube video URL. Instead of being greeted with a message telling you your video is unavailable in your country, you'll see the F*ck YouTube extension attempting to unblock the video. Just wait a few seconds for it to work its magic (curious programmers can check out the extension's source code on Github user AlessandroFC15's page ). There's no need to refresh the page-the extension will automatically load the unblocked video.

Here's a great way for U.S.-based YouTubers to test out the extension: just watch this video of Adele singing about James Bond .

Of course, no extension is perfect. With F*ck YouTube, you can only use it to watch videos for which you already have the link. That means searches and videos listed in channels are still restricted to your region. But at least you'll never feel left out when your buds send you some choice K-Pop tunes.
