What is your reason for not working out? Time, probably! Well, you are not alone. Almost five out of ten people do not work out because of “I don’t have time” syndrome. However, here are five company heads, who stay fit in spite of being super busy all the time. They never let anything come in the way of staying fit, including lack of time. They rather look for lifehacks to stay fit, wherever they are, however busy they are.

In terms of exercise hacks, I cannot think of a better and more fun way than to get a dog to be your personal trainer. It is a proven fact that pet parents are always more active and on an average spend 30 minutes more per week on exercising than non-dog owners. I have an energy active breed and enjoy tons of outdoor activities under the supervision of the pooch trainer like cycling, playing catch, joining a community walking group etc. It is the most fun way that man and his best friend can adopt to incorporate exercise in their daily lives.

I work for at least 12 hours in a day and usually, have a hectic schedule. So, I try to remain fit despite the long work hours. My office is on the 12th floor and it takes 10 minutes to reach if one takes the elevator. Hence, I choose to take the stairs, which takes me only 5 minutes. So, this way I save on time and also, stay fit.

I always encourage standing meetings. Even during meetings, I don’t sit for more than 30 minutes at a stretch. I prefer to walk or stand and also encourage others to do the same.

I prefer to walk up to my team members and not use intercoms for any conversation. This way I ensure I don’t sit for more than 30 minutes.

When it comes to diet, I will be lying if I say I don’t indulge from time to time. So, I ensure that I watch my portion size and not over indulge on anything.

I believe in the concept of early to sleep, early to rise. It gives me time to go through my gym and cardio activities and plan my day. I have clarity of the daily goals to achieve while I burn the calories. However, when I don’t find time I perform quick body stretching exercises while sitting on my workstation every now and then and also take walks within the office.

Even when I cannot find time to hit the gym, I walk while talking on the phone. I run 4 km with 20 minutes yoga each day when I'm at Home and on travel days hit the gym anytime of the day. I keep a bowl of our own nuts on my work station and Cornitos Almonds pack in my Laptop Bag always. Additionally I have water every time I am leaving my work station or before moving out and sip on Green Tea during meetings and conferences.

Finding dedicated time to exercise or go to the gym every day is difficult when you are grappling with multiple deadlines, meetings and other business affairs. However, health and fitness can be ignored at your own peril. To make sure I indulge in some form of exercise on-the-go, I do the following:

-- Park my car at the farthest spot from my office so I can walk a few minutes to reach my work place.

-- As a matter of principle I always take stairs, and skip elevators, wherever I go, atleast till the 5th floor

-- When caught in traffic jams, I perform quick breathing exercises to relax and beat stress
