How Can I Self-Publish My Book?
It used to be that self-publishing meant paying huge fees for small print runs. The thriving eBook market makes it easier than ever to self publish, but what's the best way to go about it? If you've got some advice, jump in and help out a fellow reader.
So, I've written a novel and I'm thinking about publishing it myself. I don't know that I'd actually attempt a print run (who can afford that anyway), but publishing my own eBook seems so tempting. I know it isn't easy. I've got to decide where to publish and in what format, though I know where I publish may dictate the format. Amazon seems the obvious choice, but I'm really just starting to investigate this. And then of course, I'm left to do my own marketing.
I'd love to hear from people who have done this before, or at least looked into it. What's your advice on publishing and marketing your own book? Am I crazy to even try?
